A social work practitioner, researcher and educator Tamara’s practice is focused on contexts and connection and how our experience of these prompt; facilitate & constrain wellbeing.

Tamara is the chief investigator of the Name.Narrate.Navigate program, a trauma-informed and culturally responsive preventive intervention for young people who use and experience and the workers who support them.

With over 120 research outputs and $4m of research funding, Tamara is a thought leader in the field of violence, abuse and trauma. Her practice-led industry engaged work is changing practice and policy for real life outcomes .

Tamara remains actively involved in clinical practice and is an engaging speaker raising awareness and advocating for holistic responses to social issues experienced by children, young people, their families and communities
